2006 World Cup in Toronto Photos from the 2006 World Cup in Toronto. This was the one and only year I was able to photograph fans from all 32 countries, mainly because this was the first year of the project, and as a young photographer, I had a lot more time available to dedicate to the project. The highlights have to be the 5,000 South Korean fans at the MTCC, that was a record over the 20 years I’ve been looking for fans, and also watching games live with fans of Togo, Paraguay and Côte d’Ivoire at their private residences. Finally, another really special thing about this year, I don’t think I’ll ever see a celebration like the Italy Championship again. It was epic, so amazing to be a part of it, a joyous experience as far as the eye could see. It truly was the epitome of a World Cup in Toronto moment. No Posts Found!
