2010 World Cup in Toronto

There are differing opinions about the constant presence of the vuvuzelas at the 2010 World Cup, but for me, it was mesmerizing, and I’ve missed it ever since. This tournament was super special for me because I had a gallery show running through the entirety of the 2010 World Cup and was interviewed multiple times throughout. In 2010, I was able to find all the new countries I had not photographed in 2006, with the exception of North Korea. Highlights include Slovenia, an genuinely patriotic American fan and the Netherlands fans in the finals. Certainly, I regret not being with the Spanish fans for the championship, but the Dutch were a blast to photograph and definitely brought it to Liberty Village. The 2010 World Cup in Toronto was on point, and another great year of soccer.
