Scotland – 2026 Joseph, June 24, 2026July 14, 2026 There were any number of bars to find Scottish fans in Toronto, but one seemed to capture all the attention and I needed to watch at least one game outside of it. Of course, I would have loved to go inside, but they were at capacity and had booked up weeks in advance of the World Cup, but I got a glimpse from outside. Sure enough, totally filled with Scottish fans. I didn’t love that The Caledonian, despite being on a very popular strip along College, kept it’s viewing as unwelcoming as possible. Unlike the half a dozen bars around it that welcomely placed at least one TV facing out to the street for all to see as they passed, it was pretty impossible to watch anything from streets at The Caledonian. I watched the game from one of these other patios, and they will filled with fans from Brazil and Scotland and made for a lovely environment. It was also disappointing The Caledonian didn’t play any other of the World Cup matches except Scotland and Canada games. Nope. They would simply turn off their TVs. I don’t even know where to begin. Look at this prime example about a block away. Outside facing TV, packed patio. Love it. When it was over, I managed to catch the last 15 minutes of the match at The Queen and Beaver downtown and found a whole bunch of Scotland fans. These shots aren’t great, so definitely wanted to go out again. The Caledonia was in general a lousy place to recommend anyone to go to watch the games. 2026 Congo DR – 2026 June 23, 2026July 3, 2026 I’ve been trying to avoid doubling up venues this year, but Nganda African Street Food on Adelaide is the kind of venue I could have photographed dozens of games and been at the best location in the city.
