Uzbekistan – 2026 Joseph, June 27, 2026July 9, 2026 Uzbekistan qualification into the World Cup was exactly what I was excited about with the expansion to 48 teams. And while I was excited they made it to the World Cup, I was a little worried that I might not be able to find anyone in the city watching the matches. I was wrong. Turns out there is an amazing Uzbek restaurant in North York. I missed the opportunity to make either of the opening two matches for Uzbekistan, but despite being technically eliminated from the World Cup before starting the third game, the fans still showed up. To my luck, the scored within the opening minutes of the match: Only to have it overturned for offside… Only to score again, this time officially, in the 10th minute. The World Cup is a beautiful thing.
