Where to Watch – Celebration Square, Mississauga Joseph, June 16, 2014May 21, 2018 An amazing neutral site for World Cup fans in the GTA is Celebration Square in Mississauga. I went to Square One in search of Bosnia and Herzegovina this past Sunday but I found dozens of fans of just about every country in the World Cup this year. The square provides multiple outdoor screens with loud audio of the broadcast, and more importantly, the place is entirely kid and pet friendly. Bring your own chairs or blankets if you plan to stay awhile, and I didn’t see too much in the way of refreshments or food (picnic anyone?), but it’s a super solid place to watch a match, and even better, entirely free. Full schedule is on their site, click here. From what I can tell, Celebration Square will be playing all the games with the exception of June 29 – July 1 for Canada day set-up and celebration, and the final and semi-finals on July 12 and 13 because, “There is an event scheduled in Toronto which has the exclusive public viewing rights in the GTA.” I don’t know where that place is just yet, but I imagine the CBC has something to do with it.
