Easily considered the least exciting game of the 2014 World Cup, you wouldn’t know it if you were watching it with the Iranian fans in the Boston Pizza at Yonge and Sheppard. This place was packed, wall to wall, floor to ceiling with Iran fans and the energy in the room was extraordinary! Chanting, whistles and I even saw my first vuvuzela, something I miss so much from the 2010 World Cup. This event was set-up by the Iranian York University Association and they will be setting up other game watches. You can find them on Facebook at facebook.com/iranianyorku. I can promise, it will be a game watch worth attending, they throw a great party.
Date: June 16, 2014
