Austria – 2026 Joseph, June 22, 2026July 3, 2026 Austria World Cup fans in Toronto didn’t have a huge presence on social media telling everyone where to gather for a watch party, and the few Austrian restaurants in the GTA didn’t seem to have any interest in soccer, so I was left hunting for fans in neutral sites. Fortunately, I found a very enthusiastic crew at Nathan Phillips Square, surrounded by Argentina fans, in what was not a hostile territory, but certainly not a hospitable one. Messi was mesmerizing once again, and despite everything, even the Austrian fans had to smile and marvel at the G.O.A.T.
